The JK Cancer Fund Inc. is a nonprofit organization established in 2010 by Cody Millian, in honor of his grandfather John Kubek. What started off as a Senior Project at J.W. Mitchell High School in Trinity Florida, became a Fund that donates 100 % of what it collects to local charities in and around the Tampa Bay area.
Since its inception, JK Cancer Fund Inc. has supported many different programs, but it is a main supporter of the LIVESTRONG Program at the James P. Gills Family YMCA in Trinity. This program helps survivors regain their strength, both physically and mentally.
The JK Cancer Fund holds a special place in Millian-Aire’s heart. Cody’s paternal grandfather Mike Millian, a founder of Millian-Aire Air Conditioning and Heating, was diagnosed with and eventually passed from Lung Cancer in 2014. Cody’s mother, Vice President of Millian-Aire, was diagnosed with and defeated stage one Breast Cancer in 2011. Cody’s father, President and CEO of Millian-Aire, was diagnosed with and defeated Prostate Cancer in 2017.
Every year since 2010, JK Cancer Fund Inc. has held a golf outing to raise money to fund its efforts. The JK Cancer Fund Inc. Drive Away Cancer Golf Outing has raised more money every year than it did in the previous one. They are looking forward to having a new record-setting event March 8th 2018. Please go to their website and see their great story, and see how they are impacting the Tampa Bay Community.
